About our Low-Cost Standard UIL Physical
What is a Pre-Participation Evaluation (PPE)?
A pre-participation evaluation, or sports physical, is meant to help maintain the health and safety of athletes. Its purpose is not to exclude a child from sport-related activities, but to make participation safe and to alert the parent/guardian of any health care issues that may arise. Dallas ISD requires an annual Physical Evaluation to participate in any school-sponsored athletics, practices or games.
Our Standard Pre-Participation UIL Physical includes:
- blood pressure and pulse measurements (heart rate and rhythm)
- vision testing
- examination of heart
- examination of lungs
- examination of abdomen
- examination of ears, nose, & throat
- evaluation of posture
- evaluation of joints
- evaluation of strength & flexibility
The Standard UIL Physical takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Pricing
We offer a cash discount which brings the price down to $10 per student (when paid in cash).
We also accept credit card payments for your convenience. If you choose to pay via credit card, you will be charged our full price of $10.61 per student.

Blood Pressure, HR, Pulse OX are all taken bilaterally along with the temperature. The blood pressure is taken with Omron equipment in a seated position to stay consistent with AMA guidelines.

Not only is the vision screened for appropriate referral but the pupil sizes are digitally measured and assist with baseline concussion comparison.
